Description

Human Made Tiger Graphic New T-Shirt White

I’ve got a drawer full of white tees I don’t wear anymore. Collars gone grey, prints turned into smudges, fabric that went thin somewhere around month three. That’s the reason this one exists the way it does.

We’re Human Made. Tokyo. NIGO started the label back in 2010 and the brief hasn’t really shifted since. Old Americana, old workwear, Japanese graphics, rebuilt properly. The tiger has been floating around the brand for years — jackets, caps, hoodies. Not a mascot. More like something that keeps turning up.

The shirt itself

White cotton, crew neck, tiger across the front, small heart on the back. Made in Japan.

The fabric is dry-feel cotton with slub yarn, which just means the threads aren’t perfectly even. You get a bit of texture on the surface instead of that flat papery feel cheap white tees have. It’s the kind of thing you notice on the first wear and then stop noticing, which is fine.

No side seams. The body’s knitted in one piece. Sounds like marketing talk until you’ve worn one through a summer — nothing rubs your ribs, nothing warps when it hangs. The neckline is double binder construction so the collar stays where it should instead of going wavy.

Regular fit. I wear mine true to size and it’s still where it started after a lot of washes.

The print sits flat on the cotton. That’s the first thing I check on any graphic tee. If you can pick at the edge with a fingernail, it’s going to crack eventually.

Wearing white

Black hides things. White doesn’t. That’s the trade and there’s no way around it.

But white lets the graphic read cleaner. Sharper. Less streetwear uniform, more like you actually made a decision this morning.

Dark denim and clean sneakers is the easy version. Boots if you want it a bit harder. Straight leg, nothing too tapered, otherwise the tee looks like it’s floating.

Then there’s layering. A Human Made Hoodie worn open over the top beats zipping it up — the tiger still shows and the white base stops the whole thing feeling heavy. Same with a Human Made Jacket, just leave it unbuttoned. This is what I do from October onwards.

The Human Made 6PANEL LINEN CAP Black is the obvious pairing. Black cap, white tee, dark bottoms. Same brand, same visual language. Linen blend stays breathable if you’re actually outside in it.

If you’re into CPFM, the CPFM We’re Good! Cherry Hoodie lives in a similar lane. Different graphic, same instinct, and they sit well next to each other. People who like one usually like the other.

And if you already own the black version of this tee, the white one isn’t a duplicate. It’s a different outfit entirely.

A Human Made T shirt in white is probably the most useful thing you can own. Every Human Made piece starts from that idea. Useful first, interesting second. There’s a phrase people throw around, Human Hope, and honestly it fits here — clothes that outlast the season instead of the next wash.

Keeping it white

This is where people mess up and then blame the shirt.

Cold wash, inside out. Non negotiable. Heat sets stains and cracks prints, and white shows both.

Skip the dryer. I know it’s convenient. Hang it, or lay it flat on a towel. Heat shrinks cotton and dulls white over time, and you’ll notice it around wash fifteen when the tiger starts looking faded.

No bleach. Sounds backwards for a white shirt but chlorine weakens the fibers and can actually yellow it. If you need to brighten it, use an oxygen based whitener instead.

Wash it with other whites or lights. Not with denim. Not with that red shirt from vacation. White cotton grabs dye like a sponge.

Wait a day before the first wash. Gives the ink time to settle.

Iron inside out or steam it. Never put the iron directly on the tiger.

None of that is complicated. People just don’t do it.

Things people ask

Does it run small?
Regular fit. Between sizes and want room, size up. Want it closer, stay put. The size chart on the site is accurate, model is 184cm in a L.

Will it shrink?
Only with heat. Cold wash and air dry keeps it where it started.

What’s the tiger about?
NIGO pulls from vintage Japanese art a lot. The tiger shows up across different pieces. Recurring character, not a mascot.

Is white harder to keep clean than black?
Yeah. That’s just true. But you’ll also notice when it needs a wash instead of guessing.

Can I dry clean it?
Sure. You don’t need to. It’s cotton.

Is this a limited drop?
Human Made runs seasonal collections. This shows up in things like SS26 and specific colorways move fast. If you see your size, that’s the window.

How do I dress it up?
Dark trousers, something with structure on top, clean shoes. The tee handles the rest.

Where’s it made?
Japan.
